I am trying to use VNC Manager to connect to the UltraVNC Repeater.  The problem is that in order to access the UltraVNC Repeater site, I have to enter an 'id###'.  How do I do this in VNC Manager???

You should enter ID to the Server address filed in the Registered Server proprties dialog.

Hostname in the proxy settings should be set to the repeater's IP address.

I try to connect but it just says 'establishing connection to vnc server at id:###' but it never connects.  How long does it take to connect???

What should the server port be set to in 'vnc client connection properties' ????

Well we use SC for alot of support for SMB's with no VPN connection and the occasional home user. So we use a repeater out at the COLO that handles a port 80 to 443 proxy. It has been a life saver when I am out in the field and have to support someone on another persons network. We also use this at the office too.

So what I have been trying to do is get the Manager to handle this connection in listen mode and keep a constant connection to the repeater like we do with the UVNC viewer. So when someone intiates a connection to the reapeater it lets me know so I can connect... like the UVNC does.

How ever I have been unable to replicate with the ENT Manager. BTW, this has been the next best thing to sliced bread, We like it :)

Just two days ago we have discovered that there is a bug that prevents the VNC Manager to accept incoming connections from UltraVNC SingleClick. We are working on fixing the problem as I'm typing this message.  A fix for this bug should be published during a course of the next week.

Connection time should be pretty much the same as in case of the direct connection.

For testing I used all ports set to their default values. Below is a screenshot of the Repeater settings:

VNC Server Add New Client screen

Do you see any useful information in the Repeater log window ? It should look similar to this one:

socket() initialized
bind() succeded to port 5901
listen() succeded
socket() initialized
bind() succeded to port 5500
listen() succeded
Server added to list 123
accept() connection
Viewer added to list 123

by default VNC port should be set to its default value 5900. And as you can see on the screenshot, I've Repeater port set to 5901, which is default Repeater's port value too.
