The "Computers registration Wizzard" works like a dream. I have it set so that I can scan from the root of the domain and it will add any new devices.
The problem I have is with the "Naming Convention".
To make it easier on our help desk personnel, we change the name of the device to reflect the user and department it is in. This way they can quickly sort and control that device.
So, I would want to create a new entry for a device "address" that does not exist and skip creation if it does.
I know that their is the "description" field in the manager that gets sucked in from AD, but we have all descriptions in the manager and not in AD. (We got our cart before our horse)
So this would aid us until AD is up to date.
Thanks

Hi Shane, it's probably because I've been working for almost 12 hours straight today...but I really not sure how your feature request could be implemented as part of the AD Registration Wizard. I would really appreciate if you could describe the idea in more details :)
 Kindest Regards, SmartCode Solutions Support

Well, in the "Naming Convention" part of the wizzard, you have three options,
1. Replace entries with the same name
2. Keep old entries and generate unique name for newly registered computer
3. Skip this entry
All three deal with the "Name" of the computer. I am suggesting an additional two options...
4. Replace entries with the same address
5. Skip this entry for existing addresses
