What changes / features do you expect to make in the beta version. I do note the ssh key addition which I dearly love and thank you. Still looking for the ssh terminal client though.

When using the "stretch screen" option, I'd like to see a keep 1:1 aspect ratio ability.  I admin a lot of dual screen computers.  I use a very large wide screen to remote assist, and the ability to shrink just slightly to get both dual monitors on my wide screen is extremely helpful.  But the odd "too high" stretch is annoying, and makes remote operation harder.

How about including IP address as an option in the computer list columns?

It's there already and called the IP address or Hostname field To be honest we yet to hear a really good reason to add separate IP address field in the properties dialog. But perhaps what we could do is add IP address column in the registered computers list. And when the VNC Manager updates computer's statuses (VNC/RDP/Ping status updates) we could fill in the IP address column with the computer's current IP address. What do you think?

Yes, the "registered computers list" is what I was originally referring to.  I manage a lot of computer across several VPN connections, so many of them have different subnets.  Occasionally it's nice to be able to see what IP address a computer is at to make some management tasks a little easier.  And auto-filling that field would be most helpfull.

Thanks!

Process threading of managment tasks...

Sometimes when I launch a task, say like manage installed software, on a particular computer it renders the rest of VNC Manager useless until that task is done.  For that particular task, managing installed software, it is tediously slow.  So that causes problems.

Say for instance, I start a task that opens a window that doesn't run on a seperate thread, and then a user calls in with need for assistance in a remote location.  Now VNC Manager is unavailable, so I cannot use it to help that user for many minutes.  If that task window were in a seperate process thread, then I would be able to switch back to the main VNC Manager window and continue working with that user while the other tasks continues to process in a seperate thread on the CPU.

Is that a good example?

Thanks,
Scott

Manage Installed Software works 10 times faster in v4 Beta2 and it was very slow to fetch installed programs in v3.6, v4.0 B1, indeed.
