| Hi; I am having a problem with configuring VNC Manager 3.6.16.2 with RealVNC 4.2.8. I recieve a "No Configured Security Type Supported On 3.3 Viewer" error when I try the 'Connect to VNC Server' Option. I have no issues connecting VNC Manager 3.6.16.2 to the W2K server using RDP from an XP Pro workstation. I have no issues connecting to the W2K server (RealVNC 4.2.8 server) using the Real VNC 4.2.8 viewer on an XP Pro workstation. I have tried a number of configuration options under 'Properties - VNC Client Settings' without luck. Enviroment: Windows 2000 Server SP4 with Terminal Service (Administrative) RDP installed, RealVNC 4.2.8 server, VNC Manager 3.6.16.2. Windows XP Pro SP 2 with VNC Manager 3.6.16.2, RealVNC 4.2.8 server, and RealVNC Client 4.2.8 installed. Would appriciate any help... Thanks!

| The only VNC viewer that can connect to a RealVNC Ent.Ed. server using NTLM encrypted authentication is RealVNC's VNC viewer. We were trying to license the RealVNC Ent. Ed. authentication technology for quite some time. Initial reply from RealVNC's managers was that they are ready to license it but have to come up with a price. And then after three months of figuring out the right price, they just said "no we won't license it". And no further explanations were given. Other OEM who'd contacted them regarding similar matter received the similar answer. So it looks that in a foreseeable future the only way to connect to a RealVNC Ent. Ed. server with NTLM authentication enabled is to use the native RealVNC viewer. Perhaps you could add RealVNC Viewer as an "External Tool" to the VNC Manager. Or alternatively you could configure the RealVNC server to accept legacy VNC connections.
 Kindest Regards, SmartCode Solutions Support
