Q: I've upgrade from v3.5 (or 3.0) and it seems like most of my registered computers have their settings reset to default value. A: Your settings are safe and were migrated correctly. The only settings not migrated by the current beta version (3.6.10.0) are the group folder and the global logon credentials. So what's going on then? In the VNC Manager 3.6 it's possible to inherit registered computer settings from a group folder or from the global settings. When v3.6 migrates old configs it migrates all the settings but in the same time it sets each registered computer to inherit their settings from the global registered computer settings.
To get your old settings back you have to select "Use this computer's properties" entry in the settings combobox. If you want to do it for all registered computers you can use Tools->Options->Defaults->Apply to All Computers command (don't forget to specify default settings by clicking on the Edit Default Settings button first), check Settings Inheritance checkbox and click the OK button.
Actually we would like to hear your opinion whatever we should set migrated registered computers to use "Global settings" or "This computer's settings". Please post your opinions to the beta forum.
