What might be the cause?
[/quote]
Hi,
the cause is exacly the same as in the wizards case. Shutdown/Restart feature uses WMI so it requires RPC ports opened on the target PC.

Please take a look on the article named What ports are used by VNC Manager when working with a remote computer ?
in the FAQ http://www.s-code.com/faq.aspx?menu=faq

RE: v3.0 "The RPC Server is unavailable" handling

I also recieve this message whenever I try to shutdown/restart a machine through power management. The ones who are unaware about it contact our support asking for a help. In v3.0 we tried to cover the issue and provide more user friendly information about the error. Take a look on a screenshot that showing how the Reset Password wizard handles such situation.
