I'm constantly getting a failure every time I try to call AddClient(foo, bar);

I have wrapped it up in a class, in the hope of making things easier when I put it in to a windows service, but going by this, I may not bother.

Anyway, do you have any suggestions as to where I'm going wrong?

I need to be able to use the API, without adding it to a form.
The reason for this is because it will be run as a service on client machines.

Is there a way to get the active X to be automatically elevated?

Currently I have to get customers to Disable UAC and reboot then run again.

I test the ServerX control, set the default port value to 15889, but it seems listening on 5900 port when the control intilizated.

MSI Installer?

It would really be great if there was a MSI installer for the activeX control. Basically, I want to deploy using a ClickOnce Application in .NET 2.0/VS2005. ClickOnce has a generic bootstrapper that can launch MSI files automatically. It would be nice if there was a MSI installer for the ActiveX control, especially a silent one, or at least one that did not require any user interaction. It should copy the .dll, run regsvr32 and quit. If I knew how to build a .MSI for it mysel

Dual monitor dilema

Hello. I recently bought both the ServerX and ViewerX activeX.

I have a problem tough. I have a computer with 2 monitors, working on a "Dual View" mode, and I need to give VNC access to only one of the displays.

Right now, when a client logs in, he gets to see both displays meshed up together. Is there a way I can limit the visibility to just one display using the ServerX?

Use COM+ to host ServerX VNC Server ActiveX

I develop a COM+ component by using .net C# language, which has a form in the COM+, and I add VNC Server ActiveX to this form. All codes can be compiler no probelm and the COM can be registered to system.

Issue: System will prompt exception "Can not create this object ....., because this thread state was not an single thread apartment."

I had search more documents and can not found any documents to fix this problem, and I can not found method to mark my C# COM+ as STA.

Embedding in Java using SWT

We are currently evalutating ServerX for use with Java. We have an SWT application and would like to embed the ServerX using its 'Ole' clases.

Everything seems to go well up to a point. We can locate the control abd set and get properties on it. However, when we try to either start the server in listen mode, or make an outgoing connecting to a viewer, nothing seems to happen.

I have attached the source in the hope that someone may have some experience with embedding in Jav

Proxy Support on the ServerX side.

I've seen that there is Proxy support on the ViewerX side... but what about proxy support on the ServerX side?

My idea is the following: use the ViewerX in listen mode and allow other people to call me using a ServerX application. What if the ServerX application is behind a Proxy Server?

Is possible ServerX to be started before the user logs in ?

I'm thinking to a service that starts at windows startup and that launches an application with Serverx embedded (obviuosly the application should not have any user interface at all).

If this scenario is feasible the pc could be controlled before the user logs in (the same way UltraVNC installed as a service does, for example).

I have a web server that i am going to install ServerX VNC server on.

I am NOT a programmer so i don't know how to build the web interface to work with this program. Can anyone help me with this?

I know a little ASP and a little HTML, but that's about it!

How do i set the control to register with the repeater?
